Social Psych

After watching all  of the videos that I had seen the previous year it was still horrifying. I could not believe how everyone could just do what other people said because they were in a crowd. It was disgusting. I know that it happens a lot more than we wish it would, but when it's clearly laid out in front of us its disturbing. The bystander effect is what I really dislike the most. Just because you think that someone else will step up and help call something in or step in the middle of something doesn't mean that you should just turn your back. This chapter was very informative, but at the same time I didn't like it because of how disturbing it was.

Abnormal Psych

This was a very informational  thing to learn about. I know people who do deal with schizophrenia and just knowing now how they have to deal with life on a daily basis gives me an even greater appreciation for them. I know from experience that these kind of things are hard to go through. I am being treated with depression and anxiety and just learning more about it than I had experienced helps me see that there are many people who go through the same thing I do. It's nice to know that I'm not a lone in some of the situations I've gone though and it really does make a difference. It does make me sad though how some people sit there and pick on other people just because they might not be perfect, but sometimes the people who are suppose to be "perfect" might just be the ones who need help the most.

Exam Three

I thought the exam was kind of hard. I definatly should have studied more in-depth and rewrote my notes several times until I had everything organized. But I don't think that it was one of the hardest that I've taken. Next time I'm going to do everything I possibly can to ace the exam.

chapter 14

Learning about different traits was pretty cool. I knew that not everyone had the same one, but just the different trait theories was interesting. The thing I found the most interesting and exciting was planning the trip with other people who had somewhat of the same personality as myself. Just knowing that there are some people who think the same way I do is nice to know. I didn't think that just one little quiz could define me is kind of cool. Over all I really enjoyed this chapter.

Chapter 9

I really enjoyed this chapter. I liked learning about the the different ways that parents invest in their children. I know just from watching people that the norm is for the mothers to be loving and the fathers to be in and out of the picture. But I've seen it the opposite where the mother is gone and the father is the one that the kids spend all of their time with. And just knowing the way that the parents effect children is interesting. Like with the Bogle family where the parents were the ones who messed their kids up to the point where almost all of the children had gone to prision. It is kind of sad, but at the same time it can be very good.

Chapter 11

I found it really interesting to learn about the seven types of emotion. I knew there were different ones, but I thought there were more than that. I know there is different levels of emotions, but it was cool to find out what the main ones were. I also found it interesting that certain stimulations can account for specific actions and emotions.

Field Day

I loved field day! It was amazing to walk around and see how everyone at the U got around campus. When we went to the live lecture I got there early and sat in the very back. While I was waiting for the lecture to start I saw how everyone was on their labtop some were singing and listening to music and others were playing games. Once the lecture started there were a few students who were still playing games. And there were three guys a row in front of me who sat there the whole time watching videos on youtube. It was very impressive to watch the lecture live. It makes even more interesting to see everything done live and get the real feel of how a lecture really goes. I loved loved loved it!
